This is Okaloosa Academy, with an important school safety announcement.
On April 23, 2025, our campus will conduct an active assailant drill, in compliance with state safety requirements. I want to assure you that this drill is designed to be orderly, reassuring, and carefully managed.
To prevent any confusion or concern, the drill will begin with a clear announcement: "This is a drill." No simulated engagement, loud noises, or other potentially distressing stimuli will be involved. The focus is to provide our students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to practice our standard safety protocols in a calm, controlled environment.
Please be assured that this is only a drill and part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and preparedness of our school community.
