💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Bob Sikes Elementary, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and cared for—academically and emotionally. This month, we proudly recognize the importance of mental health and the incredible individuals who help support our Bullpups each and every day.

We are especially grateful for our dedicated Mental Health Counselor, Ms. Megan Hanley, who works closely with our students to provide support, guidance, and a listening ear. Her impact reaches far beyond the classroom, helping students build confidence, resilience, and healthy coping skills.

Our school is committed to supporting the whole child, and that includes ensuring our students have access to the care they need to thrive.

💬 Let’s continue to:

- Encourage open conversations

- Show kindness and empathy

- Support one another

Together, we can make a difference - because mental health matters. 💚

The Okaloosa County School District is beginning school bus route planning for the 2026–27 school year, and we need your help. Parents are asked to either request or decline transportation services so we can accurately design routes, plan staffing, and better meet your family’s needs.

Starting Monday, May 4, 2026, the Transportation Request Form will be available in the FOCUS Parent Portal. Please take a moment to complete the form as soon as possible.
